A. KDE kinda looks like windows.
So Linux Mint, open SUSE.
Don't get Kubuntu. It was unstable for me.

...but remember that Linux is not Windows

Have a look at screenshots of different distros. You will find them on their site.

Is the word processor in Linux SUSe software compatible with microsoft word?
Q. I am looking for a portable laptop for school, and I do not want windows xp or vista. I really like the specs for the Linux version of the MSI wind, but I cannot find any information on the word processor in it. This will also be my only computer...so does anyone have any other suggestions for a good laptop?
A. The Wind comes with a version of SUSE Linux. You Should be able to install Open Office on it and have a pretty nice, Word compatible Word Processor.
Try Open Office on the computer you have now- There's versions for both Windows and Linux out there and make sure it does what you need it to do. I've got a link to my site where I have a few Free word processors listed.
Installing software for Linux is pretty easy. Even easier than Windows.
