Computer has no processor, how can i install linux using a pendrive?

Q. well its missing like windows. the computer was wiped out completely and now when you start it it has a white screen that says NTDLR missing press ctrl + alt + delete to restart.
i also did try to reboot with the pendrive. the screen still came up.

A. .... it has no processor. Installing linux with a computer that can't process data is impossible.
Why would a computer have no processor?
Could you have possibly used the wrong term?

on the off chance that you meant it doesn't have a CD drive ( which I think you did... ) you need to access your computer's BIOS and reset the boot-order so that it checks for USB devices BEFORE it checks for boot instructions on the HDD or on the disk-drive ( ...if you had one... )

to do this you need to re-boot your computer, and press a specific key / key-combo before the OS logo appears ( pretty much straight away in other words ) depending on who made your machine, the keycombo may be different, but it will usually say in the top left/right
" press ___ to enter bios "
OR " press ____ to enter setup "

you have to be fast, so don't worry if you miss it once or twice.
to help you out, on my machine, it's F2 but it could be anything.
Once BIOS opens ( you probably haven't used this before, but you're now directly interfacing with the firmware of your motherboard, bypassing the OS... pretty cool, eh?... no?...ok sorry )
once it's open, check settings /setup/boot options ( layout is always different depending on your chipset / motherboard.

you're looking for ' boot options ' or 'boot order ' or 'boot list ' or something like that.
you'll knwo it when you see it, because it will contain elements like HDD, disk drive, USB etc
You need to put USB first, with HDD second.
now, save, put in your USB, and reboot.

If your USB has linux on it, you'll see an instillation GUI as if you'd put in a live disk. if the USB hasn't got OS instillation files on it you'll see:
" operating system not found... _ " this means you've done it correctly. take out the USB and reboot to get back to windows, OR follow the instillation wizard instructions to set up linux.

Don't forget to format the partition first! :)

[ PS: remember to change the boot-list back to the way it was when you're finished. if you, like I did, forget all about this in a year's time, and reboot your computer with a USB key still stuck in the back, you'll be horrified by the 'operating system not found ' message...at least for a second..... ¬¬

Why won't Linux Ubuntu netbook 10.10 install on my laptop?
Q. I downloaded an ISO of Linux Ubuntu Netbook 10.10, and created a pendrive Linux on my USB, it runs on my laptop fine, but every time I come to installing it, it just loads for ages, and doesn't get anywhere on the seccond step????

A. First step: Ensure your laptop can actually boot from USB, in the BIOS settings. Most newer laptops can boot from a UFD, older laptops can't. If so, start over, you chose the wrong method to put UNE 10.10 on your USB drive. Here's the correct 'step by step':

If not, and your laptop has a CD / DVD Burner, you must use the UNE Live CD to install it on your older laptop. NetBooks don't usually have a CD / DVD Burner, but they can ALL boot from a UFD.

TIP: Next time, please include your PC's Make and Model Number.
